NOTE
Managed Cloud MySQL
Operational trade-offs of managed MySQL: HA, backups, monitoring, scaling, limits, and provider-specific behavior.
This is a historical learning note and may contain outdated or incomplete understanding.
Managed MySQL services automate parts of provisioning, backups, patching, monitoring, replication/failover, and scaling. They reduce operational work but do not remove database capacity, schema, SQL, or consistency concerns.
Understand the provider’s failover semantics, backup/PITR guarantees, maintenance policy, replica lag, storage scaling, connection limits, parameter restrictions, observability, and cost. Avoid assuming two cloud products expose identical MySQL behavior.
